Although perfection is that elusive goal that none of us ever achieves because it doesn’t really exist, here’s how my fantasy “perfect” day would go:
6:00am - Wake Up in my “perfectly” designed home and write in my journal.
6:05am - Take my Frenchie for a walk.
6:30am - Yoga in the “perfect” earth toned matching leggings and top (probably Girlfriend Collective)
7:30am – Have some coffee and something small to eat (saving my appetite for later) and then feed the kids. Then, we snuggle on the couch while watching a couple episodes of Bluey. Trust me, that shit is hilarious and teaches me to be a better parent. Who needs parenting books when you have Bandit and Chilli Heeler?
8:30am – Shower and change into more “perfect clothes.” I’m thinking some vintage leather cowboy boots, a light blue cotton dress, a matching leather bag, a black knit scarf, some rectangle sunglasses, and top the whole thing off with some Mejuri jewelry.
10:00am - My husband and I take my kids to a playground.
11:00am - Brunch with my friends, featuring the “perfect” iced coffee.
1:00pm – Take my kids and husband for a bike ride downtown and pick up some fresh flowers.
3:00pm – Have some rest time at home, which, let’s be honest, probably includes more Bluey.
5:00pm (because I have little kids) - Dinner somewhere with delicious food and live music.
6:45pm – Ice cream date!
7:30pm – Go home and get the kids ready for bed how Daniel Tiger taught me: (bath time, pjs, brush teeth, story and song and off. to. bed. 🎶) IYKYK
8:15pm – Change into something both cute and cozy, light an earthy candle, and put on some boygenius while scrolling Apartment Therapy.
8:30pm - Hang out with my husband.
9:30pm - Read a good mystery novel while convincing myself that I’ve already solved the crime 30 pages in.
10:00pm - Get a good night’s sleep in some luxurious, linen bedding.
